---The Parenting Centre has a Director, two supplimentary practitioners, a project officer and an administrator. We'd like to introduce ourselves to you.---

Practitioners

Jess Hinchy

I have been working for the past 7 years, initially in the human services industry, and then as a Psychologist. I am registered in Queensland with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Authority.

I started out supporting children in unstable family environments and worked to promote their social and emotional well-being. My focus then moved to prevention of youth homelessness, through assisting adolescents and families to work through their conflicts. More recently, I have worked with children and parents with a variety of concerns, with the goal to build skills and confidence in parents and reduce stress and conflict in the family home.

I have a special interest in working with adolescents and parents of adolescents who are experiencing family conflict and stress related to parenting. I believe in the importance of healthy family relationships and I am passionate about and committed to helping families to reach their full potential.

Riné Frouws

Registered Psychologist
BA Hons (Psych) MA Couns Psych

I have been working as a Psychologist for approximately 14 years after completing my Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology in 1997. I have a special interest in fertility, pregnancy and beyond, and have been counselling clients in these areas as the main focus of my practice for the past four years. I am passionate about everyone’s ability to develop skills relevant to their own context for working through problems, and believe in the importance of a balanced approach to life.

I have two incredible daughters who teach me something new every day. I marvel at the child’s capacity to be joyful and spontaneous and feel humbled to be entrusted with their care. I enjoy spending time with my family, pets and nature.

I am currently a Member of the Australian Psychological Society, the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Authority, the Australia and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association and the Fertility Society of Australia.
